You gain respect as a leader when you truly care for others and work to help them become successful. A good leader allows others leadership opportunities. Besides these skills, you must learn how to delegate responsibility and other key aspects of leadership.
Most importantly, a good leader encourages simplicity. Be sure to focus on the important things. Once this has been accomplished, priorities can be set. Try to simplify the things that need to be done as much as you’re able to. Also, you should give yourself and others time to think things through.
Keep your morals in mind. Consider your decision before you make it. If a decision is going to upset you or stress you out, consider not choosing that direction. Although some people may not have the same morals as you, you need to do what you feel is right.

Although those traits are unlikely to seem like those of a leader, showing that you are human helps engender loyalty.
Promote diversity in your business. If you have a diverse set of people, you’ll see that you’ll get more perspectives than you would if you stuck with one type of person. Don’t hire a bunch of people who are exactly like you. That would just limit creativity. It could also solidify your own weaknesses throughout the entire company.
